ZRP In Mass Transfers Of Police Officers To 'Improve Service Delivery'

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has started the mass transfer of senior police officers who have been at stations and sections for five years or more.

In a memorandum, ZRP chief staff officer human resources administration, Commissioner Patson Nyabadza instructed all provincial commanders to complete the process by 28 April 2022. He wrote:

Please be kindly advised that this office has noted with great concern that some members have overstayed at stations and sections.

This has often compromised work efficiency and ultimately service delivery as members either become over familiarised with their policing environments or become impediments to new work ethics.

In an endeavour to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness in the police service, you are directed to effect transfers of members who have been at one station for a period of five (5) years and above.

Officers commanding police provinces are to execute transfers within their provinces not later than 28 April 2022 and furnish headquarters with copies of the transfers once implemented.

be transferred its one of the strategy used by Zanu pf to reduce votting from Police camps ,ccc had won resulndingly on most urban camps for axample muchikurubi, manyame air base, hre central police camp ,

Harare have 50 000 police officers statistucally 42 000 ppl voted for an opposition inshort police yose ndeye opposition,Right transfering means a police will not be able to vote from the area they have registered,we are saying aBindura policemen is now working in mazoe ,when they are in Mazoe they will be assighned to be a plolling agent or an ellection observer automatically they wont have time to vote to their area they have registered A lot of families are going to be inconvinienced.I smell a rat,The Junta might have been shocked with the by-election outcome.I was fortunate not to have served for the Government under this New Dispensation.

ln a nation where the leaders are the ringpins of corruption , the only way for one to survive is to be corrupt as well. Until a remedy is found to correct this anomaly. It's unfortunate that asina mukana or kwekuhuitira becomes the pones or the victims. That's why uchiona anepekuhuitira anenge achiti dai zvaramba zvakadaro. l am not supporting Corruption mind you ,l am saying ngatigadzirisei chasakisa kuti musoro uteme, kwete kutema kwemusoro , Ndapedza.

Transfers only serve to mutate the corruption bug, it does not improve service delivery at all. The gvt must improve remuneration and conditions of service in order to improve service delivery. Draconian laws that call for extortionate fines must be reviewed downward... That is the source of corrupt practices

That's draconian directive because I know the organizations is not capable to offer transport and as well as accommodation to those who are unfortunate to be transferred.A lot of families are going to be inconvinienced.I smell a rat,The Junta might have been shocked with the by-election outcome.I was fortunate not to have served for the Government under this New Dispensation.
