Zimbabwe Weather Report & Forecast: 04 To 06 March 2022

ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS FRIDAY 04 MARCH 2022 VALID UNTIL SUNDAY 06 MARCH 2022.

PREAMBLE

The cloud band affecting the western and northern areas of the country resulted in isolated thunderstorms.

Significant falls were recorded in Mutoko (32mm), Juru (27mm), Tsholotsho (27mm), El Nkayi (25mm), Mvuma Agritex (18mm), Chinhoyi (14mm), Chibero (13mm) and Henderson
(11mm).

The rest of the country was mostly sunny and hot. Meanwhile, pressure should be rising slightly over the Southeastern coast of South Africa.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW SATURDAY 05 MARCH 2022

Briefly cloudy and warm conditions should prevail in much of the country with a chance of isolated afternoon showers in Matabeleland South, Bulawayo Metropolitan, Matabeleland North, all Mashonaland Provinces and Harare Metropolitan Province.

It should be mild in the morning. All other areas (Midlands, Manicaland and Masvingo) should be sunny and mild both morning and evening.

ACTIONS TO TAKE

  • When thunder roars, it is best to be indoors. If outdoors please find shelter immediately; do not shelter under trees or in an isolated shed.
  • Do not cross flooded rivers and swollen streams whether on foot or in a vehicle as just 30cm of flowing water is enough to sweep away a vehicle.
  • Keep hydrated, especially during the daytime by drinking adequate amounts of water.

Briefly cloudy and warm conditions should prevail in much of the country with a chance of isolated afternoon showers in Matabeleland South, Bulawayo Metropolitan, Matabeleland North, all Mashonaland Provinces and Harare Metropolitan Province.

It should be mild in the morning. All other areas (Midlands, Manicaland and Masvingo) should be briefly cloudy in the morning with a chance of morning drizzle, though mild both morning and evening.
