Zimbabwe Weather Report & Forecast: 02 - 04 November 2021

ZIMBABWE EVENING WEATHER REPORT AND FORECAST ISSUED AT 1600 HRS ON TUESDAY 02 NOVEMBER VALID UNTIL THURSDAY 04 NOVEMBER 2021.

A warm moist northwesterly airflow drifted into the country from Zambia and Botswana. This resulted in thunderstorms in areas along and north of the main watershed with notable falls in places such as Marondera (30mm), Guruve (24mm), Nyanga (18mm), Mhondoro (12mm), Harare (12mm) and Macheke (11mm). Meanwhile, cool southeasterly winds are beginning to strengthen.

FORECAST FOR TOMORROW WEDNESDAY 03 NOVEMBER 2021.

Light showers (that may be thundery in places) are expected over much of the country, with localized heavier falls in areas to the south of the main watershed, namely Matabeleland South, Masvingo, Bulawayo Metropolitan Province and parts of Midlands. While hot afternoon conditions are anticipated in most areas, it should be warm and windy in areas to the south of the main watershed.

• Lightning is a major risk during this period

• Strong winds (inherent in most thunderstorms) may be destructive in places

• Hot daytime conditions may lead to dehydration
