Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update – 10 March 2022

Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 10 March 2022:

• 499 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death was reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 491 from 506 (yesterday). 100 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Mash East (48), Mash West (25), Masvingo (13), Manicaland (6), Mat North (4), and Mash Central (4).
• Vaccination Update: 3 314 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 386 211, 3 545 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 418 175 while 2 384 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 152 302.
• As of 9 March 2022, @1500hrs there were (60) hospitalised cases: New Admissions (8), Asymptomatic (4), mild to moderate (50), severe (6) and (0) in Intensive Care Units.
• 5 049 tests done today (Positivity today was 9.9%)
• 1 098 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 5 128
• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 241 548 Cases 231 012 recoveries & 5 408 Deaths.
