Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update – 26 April 2022

Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 26 April 2022:

  • 69 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death were reported today. (7-day rolling average for new cases rises to 47 from 43 (yesterday).
  • Vaccination Update: 3 262 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5835 047, 6 903 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 646 916 while 2 953 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 588 440.
  • As of 25 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (27) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (7), Asymptomatic (0), mild to moderate (22), severe (5) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 15 of the 22 hospitalized were vaccinated and 12 were not vaccinated.
  • 2 547 tests were done today (Positivity today was 3.0%)
  • 40 new recoveries: National Recovery Rate remains at 98% & Active cases rise to 6 799.
  • As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 247 667 Cases 241 500 recoveries & 5 469 Deaths.
