Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Update 12 January 2022

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 12 January 2022:
- 668 New Cases (All local) and 14 Deaths were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases falls to 768 from 870 (yesterday).
- Vaccination Update: 6 998 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 183 395, 10 237 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 207 309 while 3 578 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 18 763.
- As of 11 January 2022, @1500hrs there were 198 hospitalised cases: New Admissions (27), Asymptomatic 17, mild to moderate 157, severe 21 and 3 in Intensive Care Units.
- 6 066 tests done today (Positivity today was 11.0%)
- 1 689 new recoveries: National Recovery rate rises to 90% & Active cases go down 17 569
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 224 433 Cases 201 649 recoveries & 5 215 Deaths.
