Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 08 March 2022

Zimbabwe first recorded a Coronavirus case in March 2020. Since then, many people have contracted the virus. Many recovered, but some succumbed to the novel virus. Pindula News presents the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe prepared by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 08 March 2022:

• 633 New Cases (All local) and I Death reported today. (7-day rolling overage* for new cases raises to 496 from 475 (yesterday). 125 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Mash East (53), Manicaland (29), Masvingo (25), Mosh Central (17), and Mash West (1).

• Vaccination Update: 2 107 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 377 690, 1 890 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 411 384 while 2 553 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 144 326.

As of 7 March 2022, @1500hrs there were (67) hospitalised cases: New Admissions (5), Asymptomatic (4), mild to moderate (56), severe (7) and (0) in Intensive Care Units.

• 5 116 tests done today (Positivity today was 12%).

481 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up 5 279.

• As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 240 343 Cases 229 664 recoveries & 5 400 Deaths.

I open the comment section with fear and much trepidation on the possibility of reading comments of a tribalistic nature. This platform has become a stage for hate to be propelled across the country and i fear for the younger Zimbabwean generation, in whom the seed of hate is being planted because of a few individuals hell bent on increasing the chasm between tribes.
Tribalism is a form of terrorism! Tribalism has no room in this age!

@ Team Pindula, it is known to me that you require traffic on this platform for it to become a source of income through ad generated revenue, perhaps.
However, the traffic on this site has become the extreme of both ends, highly acidic yet highly bitter. Highly vulgar, highly tribalistic, laced with hate.
For the sake of our little brothers and sisters whom may have learned new ways to insult, new ways to hate, please suspend the COMMENTS SECTION.
