Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 07 April 2022:
- 67 New Cases (All local) and 2 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average for new cases falls to 83 from 89 (yesterday). 1 of the new cases was detected in a school in Bulawayo Province.
- Vaccination Update: 12 813 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5624 699,2 851 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 577 959 while 9 465 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 506 425.
- As of 06 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (19) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (0), Asymptomatic (3), mild to moderate (13), severe (0) and (3) in Intensive Care Units. 7 of the 19 hospitalized were vaccinated and 12 were not vaccinated.
- 2 625 tests were done today (Positivity today was (3.1%)
- 458 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 97% & Active cases go down 1 831.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 246 870 Cases 239 584 recoveries & 5 455 Deaths.
