Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 06 April 2022:
- 59 New Cases (All local) and 2 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average for new cases falls to 89 from 100 (yesterday). 1 of the new cases was detected from a school in Mashonaland West Province.
- Vaccination Update: 26 771 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 611 886,5 175 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 575 108 while 20 179 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 496 960.
- As of 05 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (22) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (2), Asymptomatic (3), mild to moderate (17), severe (0) and (2) in Intensive Care Units. 8 of the 22 hospitalized were vaccinated and 14 were not vaccinated.
- 2 709 tests were done today (Positivity today was 2.2%)
- 71 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 97% & Active cases go down 2 224.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 246 803 Cases 239 126 recoveries & 5 453 Deaths.
