Zimbabwe Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report issued by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 05 April 2022:
- 132 New Cases (All local) and 0 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average for new cases raises to 100 from 98 (yesterday). 11 of the new cases were detected from schools in Mash West (5), Bulawayo (4) and Manicaland (2) provinces.
- Vaccination Update: 26 570 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 5 585 115,2 740 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 569 933 while 8 017 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 476 781.
- As of 04 April 2022, @1500hrs there were (18) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (2), Asymptomatic (2), mild to moderate (15), severe (0) and (1) in Intensive Care Units.
- 7 of the 18 hospitalized were vaccinated and 11 were not vaccinated. 4 583 tests done today (Positivity today was (3.1%)
- 198 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 97% & Active cases go down 2 238.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 246 744 Cases 239 055 recoveries & 5 451 Deaths.
