Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 02 March 2022:
- 632 New Cases (All local) and 1 Death were reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases raises to 416 from 413 (yesterday). 52 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Manicaland (42), Masvingo (7) and Mash Central (3).
- Vaccination Update: 2 870 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 364 434, 2 519 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 399 453 while 3 991 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 130 459.
- As of 1 March 2022, @1500hrs there were (65) hospitalised cases: New Admissions (13), Asymptomatic (11), mild to moderate (47), severe (6) and (1) in Intensive Care Units.
- 4 844 tests done today (Positivity today was 13%)
- 276 new recoveries: National Recovery rate remains at 96% & Active cases go up to 5 099.
- As of today, Zimbabwe has recorded 237 503 Cases 227 008 recoveries & 5 396 Deaths.
