Zimbabwe Coronavirus / COVID-19 Update: 01 March 2022

Here is the Coronavirus/ COVID-19 Situation Report or Update for Zimbabwe by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) on 01 March 2022:

• 491 New Cases (All local) and 0 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average* for new cases raises to 413 from 401 (yesterday). 75 of the new cases reported today are from outbreaks detected from schools in Mankaland (37), Masvingo (35) and Mash Central (3)

• Vaccination Update: 3 706 received the 1st dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 4 361 564, 3 260 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 3 396 934 while 3 443 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 126 468.

• As of 28 February 2022, @1500hrs there were (43) hospitalised cases: New Admissions (12). Asymptomatic (0), mild to moderate (36), severe (4) and (3) in Intensive Care Units.

• 4 282 tests done today (Positivity today was 11%).
