Zimbabwe: 50 People Hospitalised With COVID-19

The Zimbabwe COVID-19 daily update by the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC) issued on the 9th of June 2022 suggests that 50 people were hospitalised with COVID-19 as of 8 June. The update seen by Pindula News stated:

• 120 New Cases (AI/ /own and 2 Deaths reported today. (7-day rolling average’ for new cases falls to 121 from 129 (yesterday).

• Vaccination Update: 1 266 received the 1, dose today bringing cumulative for 1st dose to 6 243 147, 1 533 received their 2nd dose bringing cumulative for 2nd dose to 4 566 740 while 1 272 received their 3rd dose bringing cumulative for 3rd dose to 836 647.

• As of 08 June 2022, @1500 hrs, there were (50) hospitalized cases: New Admissions (13), Asymptomatic (0), mild to moderate (48), severe (2) and (0) in Intensive Care Units. 22 of the 50 hospitalized were vaccinated and 28 were not vaccinated.

• 2 852 tests done today (Positivity today was 4 %)

• 231 new recoveries: National Recovery Rate remains at 97% & Active cases fall to 2 342.
