ZERA Reduces Fuel Prices: 27 July 2022

The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reviewed the prices of diesel and blend for the week beginning 18 July. In a notice seen by Pindula News, ZERA said it had reduced blend prices in both Zimbabwe and United States dollars while diesel’s price in Zimbabwe dollars was raised. 

ZERA said diesel now costs ZWL$727.69 up from ZWL$714.45 per litre. Petrol (Blend – E15) now costs ZWL$ZWL$ 667.43 down from ZWL$675.35 per litre.

Diesel and Blend prices, in that order, were reduced from $1.80 and $1.70 per litre to $1.76 and $1.61. Reads the statement:

Please be advised of the review in fuel prices for diesel and blend with effect from 27 July 2022. The prices have been reviewed as follows:

The public and operators are advised that the blending ratio has also been reviewed to E20. Operators may sell petroleum products below the prescribed prices depending on their trading advantages and should display prices in a prominent place as provided for by the fuel pricing regulations.

Stakeholders are advised that the petroleum price releases by ZERA can be verified on the official ZERA website, Facebook or Twitter handle.
