ZEC Issues Notice To Remove Dead People From The Voters' Roll

The Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has announced intentions to remove from the voters’ roll some individuals who are presumed dead. The commission in a notice, seen by Pindula News, urged individuals who believe that the names listed in the notice were mistakenly entered to approach ZEC offices for correction. The names of those persons will be removed from the voters’ roll unless notice of appeal is given to the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission.

By means of this notice, notification is made to any voter on the First Schedule who may be alive to lodge an objection At the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission Mahachi Quantum, 1, Nelson Mandela Avenue, corner Kaguvi Street and Jason Moyo Avenue, Harare, and at the respective Commission Provincial Offices, to the inclusion of his or her name in the First Schedule using the form prescribed in the Second Schedule no later than seven days from the date of publication of this notice.

I suggest ZEC starts with removing Mentally Dead people such as Panonetsa, Mthuli, Pomona Moyo and residents @ 1 Chancellor Avenue from the voters roll. The flesh may be there, but with brains dead, they detract from any meaningful plebiscite

I hope this time around Justice Priscilla Chigumba will do things differently and correctly. She is doing things according to the Constitution.

I have confidence in the manner she is doing her work. I implore citizens to give her enough space to manouvre.

I can see a lot of registered voters not being able to vote at election time because they have been moved or removed.
