ZANU PF Youth League has issued a statement mourning Senator Oliver Chidawu who died on Tuesday the 19th of July 2022. Reports say Engineer Chidawu who was the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Harare Metropolitan Province suffered a heart attack. ZANU PF youths say Chidawu was a hard worker. Pindula News presents a statement issued by Gutu West MP John Paradza:

ZANU PF Youth League joins the President and First Secretary of the Party Cde ED Mnangagwa and the Chidhau Family in mourning the passing on of Hon Senator, Minister and Politburo Member Cde Engineer Oliver Chidhau who passed on yesterday the 19th of July 2022. Cde Chidhau was a hardworking Cadre of the Revolution, whose mobilisation and administrative skills were essential in moulding young cadres of the Party in the Youth League, particularly in Harare.

The departed cadre leaves us a legacy of hardworking, entrepreneurship, principled cadreship and above all, humility.

May His Family be comforted during these moments of grief, knowing fully well that the young revolutionary people of Zimbabwe are with them.

Yesterday, President Emmerson Mnangagwa led Cabinet in observing a moment of silence in honour of Chidawu.
