ZANU PF Writes To ZEC Accusing The "Opposition" Of Plotting To Rig 2023 Elections

ZANU PF Writes To ZEC Accusing The

The ruling ZANU PF has approached the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) accusing opposition political parties of fraudulent activities during voter registration processes in attempts to rig next year’s elections.

The ruling party is the one that has usually been accused of conniving with ZEC to manipulate electoral outcomes. The accusations resurfaced recently following the appointment, as ZEC commissioner, of Mrs Abigail Millicent Ambrose-Mohadi daughter to former vice president Kembo Mohadi.

According to ZANU PF’s Masvingo youth league secretary Charles Munganasa, the party has already written to ZEC raising issues of electoral fraud.

Munganasa, who was addressing journalists during a Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) press club discussion in Masvingo Tuesday, accused unnamed opposition political parties of busing rural supporters to urban areas. NewZimbabwe.com quotes him as saying:

As the ruling party we have registered our concerns with ZEC because the opposition was doing voter fraud since 2018. They were busing people from rural areas registering them in urban areas where you can find over 10 people registered under the same address because they know that rural communities are our stronghold.

ZANU PF is always ready for elections regardless of any plans by our detractors. We have been winning elections since the 90s and we will always win.

Opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Masvingo spokesperson Dereck Charamba distanced his party from Munganasa’s claims, arguing they were “a new political outfit which respects the Constitution.”

ZANU PF is targeting five million votes while the Nelson Chamisa led CCC is eyeing six million.

So far, just over 5.8 million people have registered to vote.

It seems the ruling party might be very correct. Now urban dwellers are now living like rats just to win the urban vote because in the rural areas they do nulot stand a chance against the mighty ZANU PF. All this is done so that they remain politically relevant.

This stance by ZANU is at face value a pre-emptive strike to cover up for ZEC partisanship. Nothing more, nothing less. It's illogical to think that ZEC, which is staffed, courtesy of ED, by ZANU loyalists then turns around to bite the hand that feeds it. You can rest assured that any ZEC Commissioner or staff member showing any hint of alignment with the opposition or even remotely sympathetic to the opposition will find themselves without a job, and pronto.

Hello Machiavelli. Are you the same Machiavelli on Twitter? Anyway, what Zanu Pf is doing is called practical Politics & its good politics depending on which side you lean towards. Chicanery, subterfuge, sleight of hand, false flag operations are all part of the ploy & all political parties use them consciously or unconsciously.

Masters of rigging are ZANU PF. It would seem ZEC is no longer in the league of elections riggers.

ZANU PF is complaining before the actual campaigning and election have begun. This is a cover-up of its intended rigging.

Opposition political parties now know how to protect their votes. They are now more cleverer than ZANU PF. Opposition political parties are busy blocking all holes which ZANU PF used last time, like failure to post polling agents at some polling stations.

MAIPONA NEKWAKUMUKWAKU REKUITA RIGGING. RWENDO RWUNO HAMULUME.

The ball is in our court. We the masses shud know that ndisu tine key to our better future. Its us who are suffering under zanu, its us who shud usher in a better Zimbabwe. Its us who shud continue the resistance against the zanu system. Its us who vote during elections, and above all, its us who shud defend our vote and from being stolen by zanu pf. We have a role to play. We must be everywhere and make it very difficult for the regime to continue to operate. It is possible to paralyse this regime through passive resistance..

MuSabatha(SDA) 1 month ago

One way to fight the regime is by exposing its wickedness and failures as much as possible. Regimes oftentimes survive through doing things in the dark or lake of information to the public of what really is causing their sufferings. So the people must expose the regime as much as possible and at every level possible. The regime is corrupt to the core, the regime is grossly inefficient, it does not respect the rule of law, it quiet often suppresses the people through violence, intimidations, abductions, jailing notable dissenting voices and opposition people etc etc. So surely we the people are the ones who shud free ourselves from zanu .

Another way of fighting is by not participating in those key areas that aid the continuation of the zanu system. For example, say u ar a police constable , yu do not need to be used to attack protestors or teachers demonstrating for better salaries... if yu ar a zec official, why agreeing to subvert the people's vote?

So yes, together we can liberate ouselves and make zimbabwe a better place for you, for me and the rest of the world.

And another tool in fighting the regime is through telling more people to access pindula news on their mobile devices...its really worth it..

the history of reruns is coloured with blood & mud of Violence,Cruelty & Intolerance.
Let's not go that path,I pray

Dumb is what this guy is, claims rural areas are their stronghold then says the people from their strongholds are registering to vote in urban areas.
