A man from Redcliff, a settlement a few kilometres from Kwekwe, in Midlands Province, has been arrested for robbing two women and forcing them to perform sexual acts which he recorded.

Kenneth Ndavambi (38), was masked and armed with a knife when he attacked the women and robbed them of cash and cellphones.

Ndavambi appeared before Kwekwe Magistrate Cheryl Tembo facing robbery and criminal insult charges.

He was remanded in custody to 13 January 2023 for trial.

Prosecutor Nyasha Hloka told the court that on 17 December 2022 around 6 PM around Mutegude area in Redcliff, the two complainants, who cannot be named for ethical reasons, were on their way home. Said Hloka:

_The accused person suddenly appeared from the bush wearing a mask and produced a knife and demanded that they hand over their cellphones to him. Fearing for their lives, the two complainants complied._

The court heard that Ndavambi ordered the women to remove their clothes and forced them to lick each other’s private parts and breasts while he recorded them.

He allegedly demanded to have sexual intercourse with them but they refused.

Upon hearing a passerby approaching, the accused person ran away leaving the complainants naked.
