ZIFA was suspended from FIFA membership due to third-party interference in the running of football in the country. That was after the Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) suspended the ZIFA board led by Felton Kamambo for abuse of public funds among other allegations. On 23 April, ZIFA councillors revoked the mandate of Kamambo, Philemon Machana and Brighton Malandule and elected Banda as the acting president. Banda had been elected ZIFA vice president in 2018 but was suspended by Kamambo and his colleagues barely a month after coming into office. *More: The Standard* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
