Responding to a question on why he failed to field a single candidate for the by-elections, Madhuku said: > We have two immediate and pressing priorities: building the NCA for 2023 and beyond and using the POLAD platform to achieve electoral reforms ahead of 2023. > I made this public at an NCA Press briefing immediately after proclaiming by-election dates. POLAD was launched on 17 May 2019 by Mnangagwa and brought together more than a dozen individuals who contested the 2018 presidential election. Mnangagwa’s closest rival in the election, Nelson Chamisa, who was the MDC Alliance presidential candidate, refused to join POLAD, calling it a charade. *More: Pindula News* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
