Trade effluent is any liquid waste, other than surface water and domestic sewage that is discharged from premises being used for a business, trade or industrial process. Pindula News presents the local government’s statement: *NOTICE TO INDUSTRY AND COMMERCE* > ALL industrial and commercial properties generating trade effluent and discharging it directly or indirectly (through manholes) into the municipal wastewater system are with effect from 1 January 2022, required to apply for a renewable Trade Effluent Discharge License (TEDL) at an annual fee of US$500 (or $ZWL equivalent) in terms of Environmental Management Act (EMA) Chapter 20:21 of 2002 Section 59(1). > The application forms for the TEDL are obtainable at the City’s Trade Waste Inspectorate Office (Cleveland House 6th Floor Office Number 601) at a cost of US$5 ( or equivalent $ZWL) per form. > A/TOWN CLERK *More: Pindula News* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
