It will finally test the resourcing strength of the MDC Alliance (Chamisa crew) against the MDC-T (Mwonzora crew) which claim they are the legitimate opposition. What party name will MDC Alliance run on? Most of the seats became vacant after the MDC-T led by Mwonzora recalled MDC Alliance officials accusing them of ceasing to represent the interests of the MDC-T, “the party that gave them the ticket to contest the 2018 elections.” The recalls followed a 2019 Supreme Court ruling that declared that Chamisa was not the legitimate leader of the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) party founded by the late Morgan Tsvangirai which contested the 2018 elections. The court ruled that Chamisa’s ascendancy to power was illegal after he violated the party’s own constitution. Chamisa and his sympathisers refused to accept the outcome of the court process and accused the ruling ZANU PF of influencing the outcome to destroy the main o[position in the land. *More: Pindula News* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
