Traditionally, national heroes are interred at the national shrine in Harare. Family spokesperson Pastor Fairchild Mhlophe, however, said they are yet to finalise the burial date. He said: > _We are yet to come up with the burial date, but the burial site is his farm and as a family we agreed to honour his wish._ Nkiwane is said to be the first man to smuggle weapons into Rhodesia to ignite Zimbabwe’s 1970s liberation war. He is survived by his wife, Ntombizodwa and three children two sons and a daughter. Meanwhile, Zimbabwe National Army, Lieutenant-General Edzai Absalom Chimonyo and Michael Chakabva (“Cde Vhuu”), burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
