Popular Zimdancehall musician Winky D has poured his heart out following the death of Soul Jah Love on Tuesday evening.

Posting on his Facebook page, Winky D paid tribute to the late artist for the way he overcame the challenges that he faced and also how he inspired the youths through his music. He wrote:

_Dear Sauro_

_Since it is so_

_Now in excruciating pain, our fate we should all acknowledge and embrace_

_Since it is written and ought to be_

_My grieving heart still rises in pain pride and gratitude at your contributions to the musical narrative_

_Not recognizing you in the Zimdancehall story shall remain a travesty_

_You travelled all musical thorny paths_

_Even more, you conquered in your distinct way_

_No musical heart ever conceived it dared to try your lyrical path_

_We won’t take back the hope you have to the youths_

_And we shall forever cherish the memories_

_Rest in strong dancehall Riddims my Bredren_

Soul Jah Love was one of the few artistes who earned Seh Calaz’s respect in the industry, the musician said in a social media post on 10 February 2020.

Seh Calaz said then that Soul Jah Love needed the nations’ prayers, love and support instead of being looked down upon. Sel Calaz wrote then:

_I don’t normally say this but this guy is one of the few artists I have respect for in this industry. He has been my friend, brother, a rival for years._

_I think as a nation he needs more of our prayers, support and love. People go through so many personal hurdles and conflicts but as public figures most of the times nobody really knows the hardships you face in your personal life._

_It is easy to spend a lot of energy concentrating on keeping people happy and entertained asi uchirwisana nezvakawanda wega pasina arikuziva (while you are facing many challenges alone without people knowing what you are going through)._

_Take time to listen to Souljah luv’s songs KANA NDAFA, NDIMI MAKAURAYA and more of his recent tracks before deciding to just look down on him and blame what you think is the problem when you are not really sure of what he has to fight everyday._

_I stand with him in what he is going through and I hope we all do the same and pray for strength for Makuruwani, Chibaba, tese tinoziva kuti dhanzi rinodhakwa kana ari low. (we all know that he cannot perform to his best when things are not going well in his life._
