Tinotumira kwamuri inosvika. WhatsApp: 0️⃣7️⃣8️⃣3️⃣ 4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ 7️⃣9️⃣3️⃣ ---------- Inmates at Mutimurefu, one of the largest prisons in the country, are being tested in batches of 75. Reports indicate that 53 prisoners tested positive on Wednesday last week while 57 tested positive on Sunday. Masvingo Provincial COVID-19 taskforce spokesperson Rodgers Irimayi confirmed the Wednesday figure to Masvingo Mirror but said he was yet to get the Sunday figure. Zimbabwe’s overcrowded prisons are considered high risk for inmates as the respiratory diseases can be transmitted easily. Recently, MDC Alliance spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere tested positive for COVID-19 soon after she was released on bail following week-long detention. Another MDC Alliance official, Jacob Mafume, had to self-isolate when he came out of jail on bail after three of his cellmates succumbed to COVID-19. *More: Masvingo Mirror* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
