He speaks when reports of grand corruption in the country have increased since his ascendance to power in 2017 despite him publicly declaring war against graft. He said: ---------- *HOT DEALS:* *itel A70 - (128GB, 3GB RAM) $89,* *itel A70 - (256GB, 4GB RAM) $99* *itel P40 (128GB, 4GB), (6000mAh) $99* *itel P40 (64GB, 4G), (6000mAh) $93* *LATEST: itel S24 (128) $124; S24 (256GB) $159* Cash on Delivery in Harare & Bulawayo. There are no excuses for corruption. No one is above the law. Meanwhile, his family, including his wife the first lady Auxillia Mnangagwa and his son Collins Mnangagwa have on a number of cases been implicated in underhand dealings. This year alone, they have been dragged into more than two cases including the one involving Drax International which reportedly duped the state of over US$60 million that was meant for the procurement of coronavirus equipment. The first family was also implicated in the foiled plot by Ms Henrietta Rushwaya the president of Zimbabwe’s Mining Federation to smuggle 6kgs of gold to Dubai. The first family, however, denies links to accused persons. Mnangagwa’s critics have observed the lack of concrete evidence to suggest that Mnangagwa was committed to fighting corruption in the country. Corruption is among the leading factors that are immensely contributing to the deterioration of the state of affairs. The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption (ZACC) that was instituted by President Mnangagwa reported recently that about US$7 billion had been externalised in recent years when the country is facing a myriad of challenges that need financial support.
