He was detained at Rhodesville Police and he was denied bail and spend the weekend in custody when he was remanded to 8 October by a Harare Magistrate who presided on his case. Reports also emerged that 13 senior and junior police officers are interfering with investigations into Commissioner Charumbira as some cops were believed to have visited him in custody without the knowledge of the investigating officer working on the case.
