He said: > Yes, we are cognisant of price volatility on the market and it is our desire to review disbursement budgets to road authorities, but that is subject to review of our road user fees tariffs by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development. > We have made our submissions to the ministry and once they have been approved we will come up with a supplementary budget for disbursements. Most of the roads in the country are described as death traps as they are in bad shape, a state that has resulted in several road accidents. Issues of mismanagement of resources meant for road rehabilitation by ZINARA is one of the leading reasons why the roads are in a sorry state. Meanwhile, the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic is said to have forced the government to shelf road rehabilitation efforts.
