Manasa was appointed secretary for elections, Elias Mudzuri, as deputy national chairperson, Gift Chimanikire (deputy national organising secretary), Abednico Bhebhe (national organising secretary) and Shakespeare Mukoyi (who was alleged to be the leader of the MDC “Vanguard”), interim youth assembly leader. Speaking at the meeting, Khupe asserted that the MDC-T party had returned to its roots. She said: > We have been founded on the foundation of non-discrimination, we have been founded on the foundation of constitutionalism, we have been founded on the foundation of non-violence. > We met here as leadership to say let us reflect on what happened and lets us correct our mistakes because in life, it is important that when you make a mistake you must admit that you have made the mistake and to use those mistakes as a stepping stone to success. > We have returned to our founding ideal values and principles of the MDC-T. > We are going to make sure that whatever we do, we do according to our values. Meanwhile, Douglas Mwonzora, who has made himself the party’s secretary-general said they would not hesitate to recall MPs and councillors who were voted into office under the MDC-Alliance ticket. *More: The Herald* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
