*Returnees Recount Horrors In Quarantine Centres* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?hm Returnees who have completed the 21-day mandatory isolation in quarantine centres have claimed that there is gross ill-treatment of people at the centres by government officials and security agents. This came out when Home Affairs minister Kazembe Kazembe and several government officials toured quarantine centres in Harare on Thursday afternoon after a spate of protests last week over the deteriorating conditions at the centres. ---------- *Latest itel S24 now available on Pindula* $124 Cash on Delivery in Harare & Bulawayo. WhatsApp: 0️⃣7️⃣8️⃣3️⃣ 4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ 7️⃣9️⃣3️⃣ ---------- One of the returnees told NewsDay that results for coronavirus tests are not issued timeously resulting in some overstaying in the centres. He said: > What is frustrating even more is that some of us have exceeded the 21 days of quarantine, but are still kept here, yet there are some who were released after six days yesterday. > We are being mixed, those who have been tested and those that are arriving and not tested, increasing the risk on our lives. He also said they are given only two per day adding that employees were allegedly on strike forcing inmates to serve themselves. He also claimed that one of the inmates who had volunteered to serve the food later tested positive for the virus and had to be taken by an ambulance. Most of Zimbabwe’s coronavirus cases are returnees in quarantine centres. More: NewsDay _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
