Announcement of reopening dates will be made at the appropriate time but for now, schools remain closed, the President further said. President Mnangagwa said the reopening strategy will give priority to those sitting for final exams, that is, Grade 7, Form 4 and Form 6 classes and the relevant ministries will ensure that students continue to have access to educational resources. Schools and tertiary institutions (colleges, polytechnics and universities) closed on Tuesday, 24 March 2020, as a precaution against the outbreak and spread of the novel coronavirus.
