Statistics reveal that reported cases of various forms of crime declined significantly between March 30 and April 15 when compared to the same period last year. For instance, 65 plain robberies were recorded in the first 17 days of the lockdown while 150 such cases were reported between March 30 and April 15 2019. The national lockdown commenced on March 30 and was initially set to elapse on 19 April.
