New Zimbabwe reports that the deceased’s friends continued to walk and passed by some ZESA power cables before the power lines suddenly developed a fault and started to spark before one of the cables dropped on the ground. William reportedly started running to his friends when he heard the loud sparks and that is when he stepped on live power cables which electrocuted him. He sustained extensive burns all over the body and died on the spot and his body was ferried by police to Chipinge district hospital for a post-mortem.
