UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) Ms Vera Songwe
African Union deputy chairperson Ambassador Kwesi Quartey

The delegates were welcomed by Zimbabwe Ambassador to the UN, Ambassador Frederick Shava and UN resident co-ordinator Ms Maria Ribeiro.

Ms Songwe who visited the Hwange National Park praised the park and said:

The president will officially open the 3-day summit on Tuesday.
