Poorly paid ZRP Officers are in bed with the infamous MaShurugwi operating in some parts of the country, The Standard reports. According to the publication, to ensure survival, some police relatives and spouses are engaged in prosti_ution with leaders of the machete gangs.

Some Chukurubi Support Unit officers are reportedly heavily invested in Mazowe‘s Jumbo mine. This was revealed in a leaked internal memo from the officer commanding Support unit warning his team against working with Mashurugwi.
