Meanwhile, the commission confirmed to the Daily News that it had met with the MDC but indicated that it told the party that no victim of violence, including the MDC, had approached the commission with a complaint. The State, however, is denying allegations by the MDC that it is sponsoring and sanctioning violence against citizens, MDC members and human rights defenders saying a “third force” which is determined to soil the image of the government was committing acts of violence.
