*CAF Warns That Zimbabwe Could End Up Playing Home Games Outside The Country* *Follow Pindula on WhatsApp for daily new updates* https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029Va84dngJP21B2nWeyM3v?rv The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has condemned almost all major football grounds in Zimbabwe, a development that is likely to see Zimbabwe playing its home games outside the country. The Zimbabwe Football Association told local radio, Star Fm that CAF approved only Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo for Zimbabwe’s international matches. This was revealed by Steve Vicker, a Zimbabwean TV and radio personality who is Star FM’s head of sport and part of the Daily Sports Zone team who posted on Twitter saying: A shocker as Caf says only Barbourfields Stadium in Bulawayo can host Zim international matches and continental club games, as National Sports Std needs major renovations. Zifa told@StarfmZimbabwe that CAF has warned that Zim could end up playing home games outside the country. Most of the local pitches have poor drainage, are not level and their media centres and floodlights are in a complete shambles. Only recently, a Castle Lager Premier Soccer League between Black Rhinos and Ngezi Platinum was called off as Rufaro Stadium was waterlogged.
