Armed police details deployed at Cherutombo Primary School where MDC leader@nelsonchamisa is supposed to plant trees. @nickmangwana you have banned peaceful MDC activities in Zim Reports suggest that the party defied the orders and planted the trees. The MDC also reports that ZRP officers fired live shots towards Chamisa thereby dispersing the gathering. There is a video which shows Chamisa’s security personnel dodging after sounds of gunfire. These reports are consistent with that of Chamisa’s spokesperson, Dr Nkululeko Sibanda who posted earlier on Twitter claiming that Chamisa was under military attack in Marondera. The state has been blocking MDC events around the country saying that there was evidence suggesting that the events would turn violent.
