The president of the Passengers Association of Zimbabwe, Tafadzwa Goliati has sent condolences to families of eight people who died in a road accident over the weekend.

Reports suggest that a Toyota Hiace banged into the back of a Toyota Dyna and burst into flames. In a statement, Goliati said:

> As Passengers Association of Zimbabwe, we are saddened and give our condolences to the families of eight people who perished after a Toyota Hiace rammed into the back of a Toyota Dyna and burst into flames, at the 31km peg Mazowe Centenary Road on 22 November around 7.30 pm.

> We implore commuter omnibus drivers to put the lives of Passengers first, adhere to road rules and regulations and desist from carrying flammable goods. Passengers have once more died such a horrendous death in flames, possibly due to dereliction by carrying flammable goods and due to not keeping safe braking distance.
