Government will not rescind its position on the fired doctors. The government has so far dismissed 435 doctors for “illegally” withdrawing their labour since the 3rd of September this year and snubbing the disciplinary hearing with 43 more yet to appear before disciplinary tribunals. This comes when the country’s health sector is grounded with public health institutions having inadequate medicines, equipment and workforce.
