Dube revealed that the city’s water consumption has spiked to an average of 155 megalitres per day against the capacity of 110 megalitres. Recently, BCC reintroduced the big flush to encourage residents to simultaneously flush their toilets in the morning between 6 am-6:30 am and in the evening between 8 pm and 8:30 pm. The move is meant to reduce sewer pipe bursts which are rampant in most high-density suburbs. *More: Chronicle* _If you found this article useful_ *Please support Pindula by forwarding to friends and groups*
