WhatsApp: 0️⃣7️⃣8️⃣3️⃣ 4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ 7️⃣9️⃣3️⃣ ---------- > #PowerAlert Three Generator Units tripped at Hwange Power Station in the early hours of this morning leading to a loss of 251MW from the National Grid. Load shedding has increased significantly and we now implementing it at Stage 2. The country was already producing insufficient power due to alleged shrinking of water levels at Kariba Dam which supplies the main power producer in the country, Kariba South Hydro Power Station. ZESA also attributes the decline in power production to ageing equipment at Hwange Power Station. Resultantly, Zimbabwe is importing some of its power from neighbouring South Africa and Mozambique, but the power is not enough for households and industry.
