The 24 tonnes of calcium hypochlorite which were stuck at the border have now been delivered to Morton Jaffray waterworks the Herald reports. This was revealed by Acting Secretary for Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Colonel (Retired) Joseph Mhakayakora who said: > Harare City Council first received two-and-a-half tonnes from a local supplier in Bulawayo a day after it switched off its water treatment plant. On Monday Harare City council shut down their water plant due to lack of water treatment chemicals. Chemicals usually came from a company called Zimphos which is now failing to supply the chemicals due to prevailing economic conditions among other things.
