Tusai was sent on forced leave in May 2018 to pave way for investigations into corruption allegations levelled against him. Students and lecturers at the school protested against him in April last year complaining over alleged corruption and high tuition. The board suspended Tusai for 3 months to pave way for investigations after the April protest disturbance at the school.
