We have to source for the funds because our electricity situation is not that good so we have to source for funds to pay HCB. The transaction is yet to be confirmed by Mozambique. Hopes are that the case would not be a replica of the June 2019 case when Energy Minister, Advocate Fortune Chasi announced that Zimbabwe had paid US$to South Africa power utility, ESKOM. The power utility then refuted the claim. The development comes when Zimbabwe is experiencing very long power cuts due to a number of issues including dwindling water levels at Kariba dam and ageing equipment at Hwange Thermal power station.
