> The Amalgamated Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe, ARTUZ organized Pay Day Funeral is set to be launched tomorrow 23 August 2019.

> The protest marks the beginning of monthly protests to be staged demanding a living wage for the teachers of Zimbabwe.

> Teachers will convene at the Ministry of Finance offices, New Government Complex Causeway side at 1000hrs. The educators will be wearing black, mourning the deaths of their salaries.

> Teachers used to earn around US$ 500 but now earn a paltry US$ 30, thanks to Mthuli Ncube and his IMF advised austerity measures.
