The misunderstanding between Katsande and Kavhukatema started when Katsande’s live performance of the song made rounds on social media last year. ---------- itel A70 256GB $99USD WhatsApp: https://wa.me/+263715068543 Calls: 0772464000 ---------- At that time, Katsande was yet to record the song although he had already hinted on recording it. See video below. Harare provincial magistrate, Learnmore Mapiye, on Tuesday fined Katsande RTGS$400 and also banned airplay for the song after finding the accused’s defence not convincing. Mapiye also said that Katsande would be jailed for two years in the event that he fails to pay the fine. Katsande had said that he had grown up hearing the song sung in church hence his decision to give it a different flavour. Prosecutor, Idah Maromo, proved to the court that Kavhukatema composed and released the song in 2008 and 2012 respectively way before Katsande recorded it.
