WhatsApp: 0️⃣7️⃣8️⃣3️⃣ 4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ 7️⃣9️⃣3️⃣ ---------- Posting on microblogging site, Twitter, Guma said: > I have formally lodged a complaint with the Editor at NewsDay about their journalist Xolisani Ncube who for the past 4 weeks has been running errands for sacked former NSSA board chair Robin Vela to harass & intimidate us into removing stories covering alleged corruption at NSSA. Guma had promised on Monday that he would name and shame the journalist if he had continued harassing Nehanda TV members. Guma had said: > This message is a final warning, send me one more message via Whatsapp and I will share all the messages you have sent me. While we risk everything to shine a spotlight on corruption you are allowing yourself to be an errand boy for the rich and powerful. As things seemed to have continued to worsen, Guma promised that today (Tuesday), he would name the News Day journalist, and he did. He had said: > Tomorrow morning I will name the NewsDay journalist who was being used to intimidate us into removing stories on the corruption at NSSA. After a whole day of consultations I have realised protecting him is a pointless exercise. I shall formally write a letter 2 NewsDay management. It is not new for journalists to be used to cover up corruption following allegations that Mines Minister, Winston Chitando, allegedly paid huge sums of money to some journalists during his tenure at the Hwange Colliery Company. NSSA corruption scandal has so far resulted in the arrest and incarceration of Tourism Minister, Priscah Mupfumira over several counts of corruption and criminal abuse of office.
