Resultantly, the State had separated Mzembi’s trials and those of his alleged accomplices, tourism ministry consultant Aaron Dzingira Mushoriwa and the former permanent secretary Margret Sangarwe. Vito told senior regional magistrate, Hosea Mujaya that the state was separating the cases as a result of difficulties faced in locating him. Mujaya then postponed the matter to September 5 when the trial of Mzembi’s accomplices will commence. The State, in May this year, sought assistance from South Africa State agents to locate and extradite Mzembi but later ditched the plan.
