His remarks follow some sentiments by members of the public who think that the arrest of tourism minister, Priscah Mupfumira, was only a decoy to divert the attention of the nation from teething issues. ---------- *HOT DEALS:* *itel A70 - (128GB, 3GB RAM) $89,* *itel A70 - (256GB, 4GB RAM) $99* *itel P40 (128GB, 4GB), (6000mAh) $99* *itel P40 (64GB, 4G), (6000mAh) $93* *LATEST: itel S24 (128) $124; S24 (256GB) $159* Cash on Delivery in Harare & Bulawayo. WhatsApp: 0️⃣7️⃣8️⃣3️⃣ 4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣ 7️⃣9️⃣3️⃣ ---------- Mupfumira was arrested last week on Thursday by a crack team comprising of members of the Military Intelligence Department (MID), Central Investigation Department (CID), Central Intelligence Officers (CIO), Zimbabwe Republic Police law and order and the Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) on the instruction of the Zimbabwe Anti -Corruption Commission. In an interview with the Herald, Ziyambi said that only courts can prove that one’s guilty or innocent therefore the government will take every necessary step to make sure justice is served. He said: > I think people should be patient in the efforts that are being done to try to eradicate corruption. Corruption is a complex thing where those that are involved have (i) money and (ii) both parties will try to conceal the transaction. > So where an arrest has been done, don’t expect a conviction there and then. Allow the due process to go on and then when nothing has happened, then you comment. He said that the government will use the learns learnt from past experiences in dealing with corruption. The government has previously been slammed for arresting and later freeing perceived corrupt individuals.
